Sheridan Memorial Hospital Association (SMHA) is a private-not-for-profit organization, which owns and operates an integrated facility of rural health clinic, hospital, long-term care facility, hospice, DME, home care, home oxygen, physical and occupational therapies, laboratory services and full radiology suite. All available to deliver quality, coordinated care that is convenient for our patients. Our board-certified family practice physician, 2 family nurse practitioners, 2 physician assistants and professional staff provide quality care for the entire family.
Our small, rural community provides a relaxing place to practice full-field medicine. We are the largest medical facility within 80 miles, employing 200 employees making us the largest employer in Sheridan County.
Plentywood is a community of nearly 2,000 people and is the county seat of Sheridan County. The County population is approximately 4,105 people.
We are a frontier town on the prairie in Northeastern Montana with great fishing and hunting, blue ribbon schools, and a community-based atmosphere. Outdoor activities include golfing, fishing, hunting, kayaking and boating, photography, ice skating and wildlife viewing. Just an hour drive from shopping centers, commercial airlines and train stations, we have the best of both worlds at Sheridan Memorial. The peaceful, rural, farming and ranching community is a safe place to live and raise a family. The strength of our community lies in the people who have chosen to live here; people who value community, hard work, and strong work ethics. We have clean air, good water, friendly people and a large number of independently owned businesses providing goods and services with an old-fashioned smile and community pride.
