To work as a team member with other Dining Service Associates, Resident Associates, Resident care Associates, Resident Care Coordinators, Resident Services Supervisor and the Resident Services Director on the deliverance of resident care, in order to facilitate resident satisfaction, facility efficiency and provider productivity. The Dining Service Associates assists with the day to day dietary needs of the residents related to their personalized care plan. Serve all residents at breakfast, lunch, dinner and special events using proper serving techniques and in a friendly, courteous manner. Act as the final check in all foods that are served in dining room and advise cook of any food that is unacceptable. Responsible for keeping proper levels of many food and non-food items. To promote safety by assisting residents associates with resident care in transfers and attendance at meals, activities and appointments. Help set up dining area and serve meals to residents, families or guests. To work as a team member Maintain a clean, attractive dining and serving area in Birchwood.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
AHA Heartsaver CPR or AHA BLS within 2 months of hire
AHA Basic First Aid training within 2 month of hire
ServSafe within 2 months of hire
1 year experience as a caregiver or aide in a ALF, LTC, SNF or hospital
80% Time Spent - Assists with any meal service, catering or special event, adhering to department expectations.
Assists with new resident orientation to dining room.
Assists in resident care as directed by personalized care plans.
Sets up, stocks and maintains resident coffee area.
Assures that all meals are attractive and delicious, if not, advises cook and gets something servable.
Inspects all glasses and silverware for spots and rewashes as necessary in dish machine or pots and pans sinks.
Performs tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
20% Time Spent - Works to maintain a team environment.
Reports any equipment problems to Resident Services Team and or Maintenance department.
Maintains a clean, sanitized and attractive work area, small wares storage areas, dining room.
20% Time Spent - Stocks and maintains par levels of food and non-food items.
Ensures all foods are properly stored according to department expectations.
Maintains a weekly cleaning/sanitizing sheet and a daily service log.
Full Time + (Call = nights, evenings, weekends or holidays)
